We seek to create a positive and healthy environment for children, parents, and volunteers by requiring our Children’s Ministry volunteers to follow these five steps:
Screening: volunteers must submit to various background checks.
Training: volunteers must complete several trainings on abuse prevention and awareness.
Interacting: volunteers must follow specified guidelines for verbal and physical interactions with children.
Monitoring: volunteers must ensure that there is adequate adult supervision.
Respond and Report Abuse: volunteers are encouraged to respond any suspicion of abuse or neglect to Island County Child Protection Services.
